Who got into Mediaworks? The hardest damn media class to get accepted into at this college? Thats right. ME.

Might graduate early. I found out I'll have about 88 by the end of this year. (My FRESHMAN year) and by the time 08' comes around, I'll be a senior. I'm still not sure if I want to graduate in 2 and a half years with a 4 year degree. I want to absorb all the knowledge I can before I have to pay loans back ya know?

I've been considering joining the Bleach LJ RPG called Fear Borne which I've mentioned before. Thing is, the three characters I would want to play, don't have any conjoining characters that are currently taken by someone. Kiyone, Unohana, and Isane. I can't figure out which one, and I could play Isane and Kiyone just fine I suppose, but could I really do Unohana justice?

If I did play Unohana? My username would be "Motherly_Healer." AWESOME.

Seriously, I've been sitting in my room for the past two days, knocking out icons left and right. I need to like....not make so many. But I love it so...

Anyway, today is mothers day. I was going to go home, but my mom made a big deal about not really wanting to do anything, and that I should just stay home. I told her I want to come by, but she fervently denied me. I haven't been home in a while, since the new quarter started actually. I'm at school, and so going home is usually the last thing on my mind, but I feel like a prick not keeping more in touch with the people in Seattle, mom especially.

She doesn't have a computer, but if my mom DOES ever see this, you are indeed the best damn mom a kid could have. I don't deserve someone like you, and you've helped me become what I am today. Thank you, and I couldn't love you more...but I do.

I've decided to branch out a bit, and start making icons more often to get my skills in PS cemented. For this, I created a new journal. It's pretty lax now since I JUST made it, but in a couple days, I'll have all my stuff up so far. Mostly, its just to see my skills get better over time, and have a place to post them, not necessarily for people to take...but if they want to, hey...

I wanted to try something next week. Instead of ranting, I'll post about my day, but in third person. No exageration, just pure "my life is boring and sucks" kinda thing. It might be interesting. I could make a book. I'd make this a meme, but nobody reads this anyway...

Also, you know how much it SUCKS not having food? I mean....its like hell. Having to scrounge for food until you get paid on the 15th...and then having you check go to an overdraft fee and a phone bill. Its like theres no end! I feel like a vulture, sneaking small pieces of bread from the hallway kitchen. I would have used peanut butter, but I LOATHE peanut butter with oil. Chunky...or die.

In class today, my teacher did something that surprised me. She suggested that I go for the "Mediaworks class" available at our college. Its a Year long media based class where you concentrate on one specific art. (Mainly Graphic and video art.) Theres a lot of competition, and if you get in, you must be quite the student and intermediate in some form of the media art.

Its not that I find it weird she suggested I go...its just she SUGGESTED...for next year. That class is mostly seniors and juniors, and I wasn't even going to consider applying for the class until I was a junior. But, she suggested I do it  by means of that she likes my work, and since she taught it at one point, would give me a good recommendation to get into the class. This surprised the hell out of me, but if I can get in, this can really jumpstart my hobby into a possible career.

I have to fill out an application and such, but I really hope I do get in. If not, I'll go for it next year, but the thought that I could quite possibly do it...AWESOME. Although my application might be a tad close to the deadline. She only suggested it today, and it would have looked better if I had turned it in...say last week, but who knows?

I've missed PS more than I expected. All I've been doing is learning new techniques and making icons. I'll become a graphic designer in no time dang-nabbit! In the meantime, I have a ton of new icons I've made, but they're all stashed away in my usericons profile. Go see them there, and if you don't, I'll actually post them later....

Also, instead of knocking my account back into an unpaid one, they charge me...not I have -$1.25 in my account. Coincidentally, I only had about 2 bucks to my name anyway.

I posted theses somewhere else, but why not on my LJ? The good thing is, before I get ahead of myself, learning small techniques will help me with my designing in the long run. Playing around in PS is one of the smaller joys in my life. I'm tempted to just stay up tonight and make all I can. But alas, class tomorrow.
